Currently there are three Norwegian factory trawlers and four longliners producing high quality seafood products, fresh frozen at sea, from the cold, clean waters of the North. On board production assures the highest quality standards as fillets are produced and quick frozen to below -18°C within a few hours after catching.
Ramoen is a factory trawler owned by the family companies Eros AS (65%) and the former owners of Vartdal Fiskeriselskap AS (35%). Both companies have a long history as owners of deep sea fishing vessels. The products are sold by Ramoen AS.
Leinebrisis a Norwegian family company which owns and operate one of the world’s most modern longliners. All year around the vessel catch quality wild fish, producing premium fillets in the top modern factory. As fifth generation fishermen they are passionate about longline fishery and the fresh frozen at sea (FAS) concept that ensures a quality and consistency of the absolute highest standard.
The factory trawler Granit is the biggest and newest trawler in Norway. Granit is owned by Halstensen Granit AS in Bekkjarvik. The products are sold by Brødrene Sperre AS.
The longliner Geir II is owned by the company HP Holmeset AS, and is among the most modern longliners of the world.
Atlantic is a longliner owned by Atlantic Longline AS in Ålesund. Atlantic is one of the longliners producing fillets onboard, mainly of cod and haddock for the UK market. Atlantic also produce fillets of tusk, ling and saithe for the Norwegian market and for export. Atlantic has 11 fishing trips yearly with a crew mainly from Norway.
Langøy is factory trawler owned by Prestfjord AS. This company is owned by the Holmøy family. The company, which was established in 1972, is operating Langøy and three other trawlers. The products are sold by Nor Seafoods AS.
